[this is good]

All I want to know is how did your desert island post slip by me?! I swear it didn't show up on my feed of neighborhood posts. I gotta go check that out and then mock you if there's anything sucky on there.

[audible sigh] All is now right with the world. This is absolutely number 1 on my list.
I've noticed that posts have slipped by me too. Dunno why that happens.
Holy shit! Check out the two main headliners for some indie-douche festival in NYC:

My Bloody Valentine
Built to Spill performing Perfect From Now On
I saw that. I also saw that tickets are about $250 per.
I've been told I'd like My Bloody Valentine's songs, but all I've ever heard is them discordantly tuning their guita...wait, what?
I'd never pay that but the idea of BTS playing their second-best album in its entirety is pretty awesome.
Loveless is a very cool album but hardly the greatest thing of all time...which it is too often made out to be.
They're not playing Keep It Like a Secret.
Yes, the Meadowlands should have been on that list. It's going to make the list I'm about to write: top 10 albums that influenced me in some way or another. But this video kinda blows. It's like, hmmm, how do we convey sad? I know, that's have you stumble around on a beach in winter with a wine bottle. That'll make you look tortured. Yeah.
Oooooh! That's a good list. I might have to play along once you post that.

I'm sure this will shock you, but I had a tough time finding a decent Wrens video to post. (And I didn't succeed.) My first draft just rehashed the acoustic version of "Everyone Chooses Sides" featuring the God of All Cereals.

The "stumbling around with a [alcohol] bottle" theme seems to be a common one among fan-made videos, which is part of why I hate so many of them. It's like watching somebody's bad high school poetry. But the live versions of this song were all eight minutes long. Too much.
