This is really going to burn Jodi up. And you didn't even have to do anything. Life is good for hotrod.
Aw, come on. That's not really fair, is it? Jodi's blog is okay, too. Maybe not "good" like mine, but I can think of worse sites to visit.
Typical. The men always get the spotlight even though they do nothing to deserve it. Meanwhile, the women write their little hearts out and get nothing. Jodi can write circles around you.

You're so "voxy"....because you have a penis and can type. Wooo. I'm swooning.
P.S. Just so you don't think I am super bitchy and cry to Jodi on IM again, I was only kidding.
Congrats!
Hmmm. I count sixteen women and twelve dudes. You're right - it's a regular sausage-fest.

I didn't ask for this esteemed honor, but somebody felt I deserved it. Jodi can write circles around me. There's no accounting for taste.
Nobody was "cry[ing] on IM." I merely mentioned that you hate me. Which you clearly do. I've no idea why. I'm such a nice person. A friend to all - as they say.
Hate is such a strong word. I prefer to use the term dislike.

Po-tay-to, po-tah-to. Either way, I can't possibly imagine why that might be.
Oh, and thank you. I should have thought of that sentiment eleven minutes ago.

“Hot Rod who?”

“He’s a friend of mine from like a million years ago. He’s cool. He’s an architect and writes about nifty shit, maybe not every day, but every post is usually worth reading.”

“OK, I’ll add him!”
Wow - an honor indeed: a rare comment from Ydnar. Except I don't know what you're talking about with this "architect" nonsense. I'm a marine biologist.

Thanks. I do, in fact, consider your comment high praise.
Well, I’ve been citing yours and Dabysan’s Vox blogs as examples for a while. Examples in the sense of “here are a couple of guys who never blogged before, but have a whole lot of interesting stuff to say.”
Shucks, Ydnar - I'm all choked up. I barely know what to say....
I was going to point out that Hotrod has an 'in' at Six Apart - which could explain that he even got a noticed in the first place. Then Ydnar spoke up. heh

Hotrod not only had a blog before Vox, he had three. I think Dabysan didn't have a blog before (can't remember), but he is, uhm, a professional writerly-type person. And it's not like either of these guys are shy about expressing their opinions. Now it's just not confined to the smoking room.
What's your point?
sell out.
I remember the smoking room.
