so... i guess i am supposed to be passive about my blog
every first blog post is the same: so here we are. if i were a more successful writer you wouldn't have to read my bullshit opinions on this free forum.....
well, i - for one - am excited to share my bullshit opinions on this
free forum. first of all, i got in early enough that i have the
URL i always wanted. or as close to it as possible,
anyway. secondly, i have many many opinions - and most of them
don't fit neatly into the strict confines of cycling
or popular music.
so this is it - the soapbox i have always wanted for my thoughts i
expect none to want to hear. it's as if i've just composed the
very definition of "blog."

As for Luddism...Technology is certainly a mixed blessing. All those people walking around with I-pods, needing the Internet to have meaningful encounters. But I met my sweetie on-line, and it seems to be good, so who can complain. As for insulting my perfect son, I'll try to bear up under the strain.
