I was going to write a lengthy introduction to this song just like all the others, but you know what?  Fuck it.  I think I've earned the right to slack off here.  I'm a three-time KttD champion.  You know who else has won multiple times?  No one.

I think what rocks your winning performance is the edge of naked fear in your voice as well as the tunelessness. Nobody else had that.

Part of what would have been my long-winded introduction was to be a recap of the two weeks leading up to KttD, which included a shredded voice at the Super Bowl and an illness that left me with a lingering and hacking cough. I'm not saying there wasn't naked fear, because there was. But there were other factors too.
