mp3eme: you're on your own, jeff tweedy

okay... i know i'm not officially part of this "mp3eme" group, but i've seen a few entries in my neighborhood this evening, and today's theme fits with where i've been musically lately, so what the hell?

i saw wilco at merriweather post pavilion last thursday, and enjoyed myself thoroughly in spite of the general outdoorsiness of the venue and accompanying rain.  in fact, i've pretty much been listening to wilco non-stop since then.  as luck would have it, yesterday jodi downloaded and shared a jeff tweedy solo/acoustic benefit concert bootleg.  i've spent most of this late afternoon listening and it takes almost every ounce of willpower i possess not to post the entire concert here.  but yinz are still gonna get a six-pack of alt-country goodness - spanning all phases of tweedy's lengthy career.

i spent the morning riding close to fifty miles on the renowned 'beach and pie' ride.  "pecan pie" was the soundtrack in my head all the way from chesapeake beach to galesville.  if only they'd had some....  still, the chocolate cream was spectacular.  as are the tunes.
