if my heart was a car

biking is cardio, no? is the amount of coffee you drink measured in gallons?
I need more cardio, I guess. And I didn't think I drank that much coffee until today.
I had an episode of chest tightness around January - thought it was due to asthma not being well-controlled, but when I checked with my lung doctor he found an elevated resting heart rate. I had a resting ecg which was normal and was sent for an exercise ecg the results of which I haven't had yet. I'll find out when I go to see my regular doc next month.

Chest tightness is scary shit. I hope those results come back good.
thanks. I'm expecting they are good or at least ok. the strange (and good) thing is that after those two days in January I haven't experienced any more chest tightness. would like to keep it that way.
do you go back to your doc for another check-up?
chest tightness is indeed scary - be careful with your marathon training and don't over do it.
Glad to hear it.

I'm going back in three weeks for blood work, because it's been a while. And I'm cleared for the marathon training provided I take it easy at first. (Not a problem.) That was the main reason I went. I don't know what I would have done if he'd advised me not to do it.
As my mom would say, "take care of you."
You have a heart? Really? I think we need a doctor's note to believe this bullshit.
Whoa. Dunno if minimizing-headaches-while-going-decaf juju is effective, but just in case, I'm sending some from out here, along with some more healing vibes.
You don't make it easy for a sister not to worry...

Yikes! Unsettling, to say the least. (But I knew this would happen--you models, with all your bulimia and whatnot.)

Yeah, Scott. It turns out cocaine speeds up your heart rate. Who knew?
